蓮花樂隊Lotus EPs

一九六六年，許冠傑和幾個志同道合的朋友組成蓮花樂隊，成員有蘇雄（低音結他），周華年（主音結他），張浚英（鼓手），李松江（旋律結他）和 許冠傑（主音歌手）。「蓮花」這名有兩個含義：「蓮花牌」的跑車正代表他們的青春和活力；蓮花是中國人的花卉，宋代周敦頤在《愛蓮說》文中就有「出淤泥而不染，濯清漣而不妖」的描繪，正代表他們是一隊全中國人的樂隊。蓮花樂隊只出過兩張細碟。 In 1966, Sam, along with other like-minded friends formed the band The Lotus. Band members included Danny So (bass), Wallace Chow (lead guitar), David Cheung (drums), Albert Li (rhythm guitar), and Sam Hui (main vocals). Lotus has two meanings: one, the Lotus automobiles, representing their band's youthful energy; two, the lotus flower, a flower of the Chinese people, representing their uniqueness as an all-Chinese band. The Lotus only ever released two singles.
