新半斤八襾 Front Page (1990)

老許（許冠文飾）經營雜誌「內幕周刊」，堅持實事求是，但此手法卻使他的雜誌社面臨倒閉邊緣。失業的拳館助教喪標（許冠傑飾），巧合地加入了這個缺乏生氣的雜誌社，以其小聰明及機靈為雜誌社注入生命力。此時純情女星珊珊（洪欣飾）將要下嫁珠寶大王李羅拔，眾人決以珊珊為製造新聞的中心。老許有感此行違背原則，但經喪標的說服，終於決定與標、烏蠅（許冠英飾）三人扮鬼扮馬，希望得到珊珊的負面新聞而增加雜誌的銷量。珊珊婚宴上，竟出現劫匪搶掠，老許及標合力退賊，並藉著照片助警方破案，取得花紅，拯救了雜誌社，亦證明老許的經營法，未盡落後。

"Front Page" marks the hugely-anticipated reunion of the classic Hui Brothers (Michael, Samuel, Ricky) after their respective decade-long solo careers. Michael Hui's comic screenplay gives us his visionary portrayal of the "paparazzi" during the early 1990s when tabloid pres changed the face of mainstream media.

"Front Page" opened in August 1990 and went on to become the top 3 highest grossing films of the year. Michael Hui also took home "Actor of the Year Award" presented by the Hong Kong Artists' Guild for this unforgettable performance.
