Can't believe it's lasted 4 years already, who would have thought!     It's our third birthday!   • Three more shows to go, I hope everyone's having a blast at the concerts, cos I sure am despite being really sick with a mad cough! Thank you to the family for giving me access to the production side of the show, it sure makes me appreciate the amount of work that goes into each show, so big ups to the crew, cast, family, and perfectionist Sam, for all their hard work every day for the past goodness knows how long. It was either the cough syrup working or a complete inability to move my tongue at the sight of my mentor, but I appreciated Uncle Sam taking a moment to meet me before going on stage, I know he was in his pre-show focused frame of mind. All I can say is... "I'll be back!" Hehehe! Meanwhile, still waiting for my fav song...

10 June 2004 :

  • Yet another internet cafe update... went to last night's show and noticed a tighter run-down and lots of improvements, also sitting up the hill gave me a better view of the entire stage design which is cool. Had really bad aim and narrowly missed taking the keyboardist down with my paper plane (I was aiming for the drummer...:P) I'm still waiting for my fav song!

  • Where's a proper internet place when you need one in HK? Just a quick update after first show last night, had a cool time, atmosphere was warm and it's great to finally see the man himself in action. All I can say is ...'will someone turn off that darn smoke machine, it's making me wheeze, haha!' And hey, where's MY favourite song on that run down? :P Right, I'm starting a petition, I want my song, I want my song...! I've got heaps of photos and whatnots, will share them with you when I'm back home, but for the meanwhile please don't send photos to my mailbox or post insane amounts on the forum yet, save it for after 20th.

    Received notification from Universal Music Malaysia that there is a new 2 CD set out in Singapore and Malaysia called 'Sam Hui Champion Hits', fans in those area should check this out, I don't think it's released in other places. The storyline is non-existent and so ridiculous that you have to laugh, it went by the philosophy that as long as you can tag onto the next song it's cool, like most 80s tv plots tend to be!     I've decided changed the forum to one that is more flexible and easier to maintain, also there will be people moderating aside from myself, so this should be a lot better than the old one. It's pretty easy to use but has a lot more function. The old guestbook and forum are now redundant, please use the new forum for both.

    I've been notified by a fan who rang the ticketing office that the first day of sale will have a limit of 10 tickets per person, after the first day the limit is 40 per person. So if you're planning to queue up for your friends, you may have to take note of this, make sure you have enough people with you to get the number of tickets you require. I'm putting this up only so overseas fans can organise their flights around this period, it's not an official announcement.

    Update 14 November 2002 :

    • DOH! I missed it! The record company launched a competition at the end of Oct till 8 Nov to search for rare Sam Hui memorabilia, fans were asked to send in their personal collection which could be selected to be used in the 18CD booklet. Unfortunately I didn't find out about this until AFTER it ended, so sorry to the fans that missed out on this, but at least we know the re-releases are still on the way.

    • Please note I do not give out MP3s of Sam's songs, if you want to listen to Sam's music please buy his albums, the man's retired and he needs his cut from album sales! The only instance I would put his songs up would be if there are very rare songs that isn't available anymore.

    Update 23 October 2002 :

    • Added a message board for fans to post their stories about Sam.
    • Some errors in the album dates and songs have been corrected, thank you to Danny Tse for his information.
    • We are now also affiliated with Videomas.com and can now provide you with VCDs for Sam Hui's 許冠傑相識廿載演唱會 1987 and 香港情懷90演唱會 1990 concerts! A must for die hard fans!

    Update 20 October 2002 :

    • Full site update! Have resorted to using frames in this site to reduce download traffic so media files can be introduced later. If there are any problems please let owner know. Also please notify of any errors.
    • Album list updated with a few lost albums thanks to Justin.
    • New wallpaper for downloading, more to come. If you have any that you would like to share with others, please send them to us.
    • Due to the fact that a lot of people have emailed asking where they can buy Sam's old albums, movies and concert videos, I'm now affiliated with Yesasia.com, just click on the "Buy This" to order. Revenue generated from this will go towards getting a better web space!!!
